Derbados caused quite a storm in the cycling world when HUUB Wattbike, the Derby-based track cycling team, referred to their home and training base as ‘The People’s Republic of Derbados’. Derbados was the name for the team’s nation because the UCI didn’t allow them to compete under GB during their attack on the global track cycling scene.
